I took some photos of all the food I brought back from Europe, I'll have to dig back and see if I can find them to share with you. Until then, here are some images to get you salivating for these wondrous treats.

Collections: Macarons

I never get tired of seeing macarons (often misspelled, but not to be confused with macaroons). Their candy colors are so cheerful and enticing. The best ones I've ever had were in Paris (of course), from the one and only Ladurée. I wish I could have one right now, the salted caramel is my favorite.

I see them around, but what do they taste like? What is their texture like? Comparable to anything?
The texture is hard to describe... when you bite into them, the outer shell crunches delicately, and the inside is soft from the filling. Then the flavor explodes in your mouth..... mmmmmm. They're not usually overly sweet, and most of them are so delicate that they're not too rich (so you can eat several!). Don't know if that helps... try them when you get a chance! Just make sure you get them from a good place so you know the experience will be accurate.
